The United Independent School District
continues to be one of the fastest growing districts in the
State of Texas. The projected student enrollment for the 2009 –
2010 school year is 40,900 students and that figure is projected
to increase by 600 to 800 students annually.
The Student Support Services Division at
United ISD Supports, in the form of material goods and services,
the education of students. As the district has grown, the
Student Support Services Division has been able to provide
quality service in an efficient, cost effective manner. The
Associate Superintendent for Student Support Services, Eduardo
“Eddie” Zuniga, is responsible for managing the entire Division.
The division is made up of the Business and Finance, Information
Construction, Support Services, Food Services, Student
Transportation, Athletics, and District Police Departments.
Mr. Zuniga has over 17 years of school
district experience. He obtained a Bachelors of Business
Administration Degree from Texas A&I University at Laredo in
1977 and a Masters of Professional Accountancy Degree from Texas
A&M International University in 2005. Mr. Zuniga is also a
Certified Public Accountant.
